International Track 200 recognises Yorkshire success

The 11th annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, which ranks Britain's mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales, has named a number of Yorkshire businesses.

Eleven companies from the region, which together they employ more than 4,500 people, have grown their international sales to a total of £320m, increasing them by an average of 54 per cent a year over the last two years.

The region's top-ranked company (No.8) is Harrogate-based High Street TV which sells own-brand and branded products via its TV channels as well as by phone, online and through retailers. With its international sales reaching £17.6m in 2018 on total sales of £66.4m, the company showed growth at an average of 175 per cent per year over the last two years.

A-Safe, the Halifax-based safety barrier manufacturer, features on the league table for the fourth time. The company's safety barriers have been installed in factories worldwide as well as at more than 30 international airports. The company’s overseas sales saw an average annual growth rate of 41 per cent over two years.

Also featuring in the table are Huddersfield-based online retailer Buy It Direct, recruitment consultancy Specialist People Services in Bradford, bedding manufacturer John Cotton Group in Mirfield, Pudsey-basedsupply chain manager Ligentia and clothing supplier Brook Taverner in Keighley.
