Harrogate-based spatial analysis and planning solutions business Geoplan is planning expansion in the US as it celebrates a record year of growth and its 35th anniversary.
In 2019, turnover at Geoplan rose to £2.3m, a 10.1% rise on 2018, and the business is expecting 13% growth next year.
The business, which currently operates in 50 countries, says high levels of R&D investment have played a key role in its international success.
Geoplan employs 25 specialists and is intending to extend its offering in the US, building on its relationships with brands like Pizza Hut and KFC.
The firm’s own algorithms work with a cloud-based mapping platform, allowing customers such as Yell and Hermes to mine and better understand their data and so make more informed decisions.
Geoplan’s technology can help with cutting delivery costs, identifying patterns of demand, reducing carbon emissions or analysing the performance of high street locations.
Managing director John Taylor said: “Our team of highly skilled people are our greatest asset and ensure that we continue to meet and exceed our promises to our customers.
“The technological advancements we achieve maintain our position as market leader, enabling us to continuously realise our strategic aims and those of our customers. Both our physical space, and our people, are an important aspect of providing exemplary business advice and support to our customers.”
